Alaska Airlines takes Pride to the skies with Delight Flights & first-ever LGBTQ+ inspired plane
This month, to commemorate Pride month, Alaska surprised not one—but four lucky flights on a newly decorated Pride-inspired plane supporting the LGBTQ+ community. The plane, the first of its kind in the United States, will fly throughout our network for the next year.

Before flying his “Oma” to her new home to be closer to family in Washington, Capt. Reburn hadn’t seen his grandmother in over a year. “In my two decades in aviation I never would have imagined flying my 108-year-old grandmother. How do you top that?” he says. “This was a long time coming.”

When I first saw Alaska Airlines’ Our Commitment aircraft, my cheeks blushed and my eyes filled with tears. I was so overwhelmed by the magnitude of what I was seeing. The only word I could utter out was ‘WOW.’ All I could think to myself was, ‘all it takes is one plane.’
