Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air have launched a fall sale featuring low fares to many of the carriers’ destinations in the contiguous United States, Hawai’i and Mexico.

"Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air fly to more cities on the U.S. West Coast than any other airline, as well as to Hawai’i, Mexico and other popular destinations in the United States and Canada," said Steve Jarvis, Alaska Airlines’ vice president of marketing, sales and customer experience. "We’re hoping customers will take advantage of these low fares and our great schedules to plan a fall getaway."

Tickets must be purchased by Aug. 14, 2009, for travel from Sept. 14 through Dec. 16, 2009. Tickets require a 14-day advance purchase and day-of-week travel restrictions apply, except to Mexico.

For all other cities, travel is valid Sept. 14, 2009, through Dec. 16, 2009. Tickets must be purchased within 24 hours of making a reservation and at least 14 days prior to departure, except Mexico and Hawai’i, which do not require an advance purchase. Sale valid on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, except Mexico where the fare is valid daily. Blackout dates for travel from the continental United States to Mexico and Hawai’i are: Nov. 20-22, 2009, and Dec. 16, 2009. Blackout dates for travel from Mexico and Hawai’i to the United States are: Nov. 28-30, 2009. Blackout date for travel from Canada to Mexico is Dec. 16, 2009. Blackout dates for travel within the United States are: Nov. 20-21, 2009, Nov. 25, 2009, and Nov. 28-30, 2009.
