Alaska Airlines Vacations Introduces Travel Packages to Europe and Asia

Alaska Airlines Vacations today introduced vacation packages to more than 25 popular destinations in Europe and Asia, including London, Paris, Rome, Hong Kong and Tokyo. The new travel packages are designed to make European and Asian vacations convenient to plan, especially for customers traveling from cities served by Alaska Airlines and its sister carrier, Horizon Air.

The new offerings continue Alaska Airlines Vacations’ move to offer a wider range of vacation packages to destinations beyond the airline’s own route system. The packages are provided in partnership with MLT Vacations and include international flights operated by Northwest Airlines, an Alaska Airlines travel partner.

"By adding Europe and Asia to the mix, Alaska Airlines Vacations now offers popular vacation possibilities not only in North America, but around the world," said Brad Walker, Alaska’s director of leisure marketing. "Even though we don’t fly to Europe and Asia, the partnership allows our customers to experience the same high level of service they expect from Alaska Airlines Vacations — even when they’re traveling to places like Rome and Tokyo."

Following are examples of Alaska Airlines Vacations package pricing. Sample package pricing listed includes roundtrip airfare and a six-night hotel stay. Packages also are available for shorter or longer time periods; with additions such as ground tours, rental cars and transfers; and for travel originating in other cities served by Alaska Airlines or its sister carrier, Horizon Air. Sample pricing listed is per person based on double occupancy and is valid for travel between Jan. 16 and March 20, 2007.

Although Alaska Airlines does not fly to Hawaii, Alaska Airlines Vacations also partners with MLT Vacations to offer packages to seven destinations there.
