Alaska Airlines today announced it has reached tentative agreements with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers on two new four-year contracts covering more than 3,700 airline employees. One tentative agreement covers Alaska’s clerical, office and passenger service (COPS) employees, including more than 3,100 customer service and reservations sales agents. A second tentative agreement covers the airline’s ramp service and stores agents (RSSA), including more than 600 aircraft ground-handling employees. Terms of the COPS and RSSA agreements are being withheld pending a ratification vote by union members. The ratification process is expected to begin within the next two weeks. Alaska Airlines and sister carrier, Horizon Air, together serve 88 cities through an expansive network throughout Alaska, the Lower 48, Canada and Mexico. For reservations visit alaskaair.com.
