Alaska Airlines Names Shannon Alberts Managing Director of Investor Relations

Alaska Airlines has named Shannon Alberts managing director of investor relations. In this position, Alberts will oversee analyst and shareholder communications for Alaska Air Group, the parent company of both Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air.

"At a time of rapid change in the airline industry, communicating with investors and financial analysts is of paramount importance," said Brad Tilden, executive vice president of finance and chief financial officer. "Shannon brings a wealth of experience working directly with the company’s investors, board members and management team. Her strong shareholder relations skills will help ensure access to low-cost capital to buy airplanes and grow moving forward."

In July, Alberts will celebrate her 20-year anniversary with the airline. Starting her career as an administrative assistant in corporate affairs in 1985, she has held positions ranging from director of corporate affairs to managing director of board and shareholder services.

Alberts holds an executive master’s of business administration degree from the University of Washington. She is a member of the American Society of Corporate and Governance Professionals, the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals and the National Investor Relations Institute. A native of Ritzville, Wash., she lives with her husband in Milton, Wash.
