SEATTLE, Nov. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Laura Fowler has joined Alaska Air Group as managing director of recruiting and diversity. Fowler will oversee the newly unified recruitment and diversity departments and expand efforts to increase diversity recruitment and inclusion at Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air.

Prior to joining Alaska, Fowler served as senior manager of human resources at Moss Adams LLP, a Seattle-based national accounting firm with 20 offices, where she worked for five years in recruitment, employee relations, compensation and organizational development. Fowler was previously vice president, human resources with Blackrock Alternative Advisors, formerly Quellos Group, a hedge fund firm based in Seattle. She also worked at Deloitte Consulting as the western region recruiting manager, where she developed national outreach and recruitment strategies.

Fowler earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). A resident of Seattle, she is an active community volunteer, having served as sustainer director for the Junior League of Seattle and the auction chair of the Washington March of Dimes.
