Alaska Airlines has presented 13 employees with the Alaska Airlines Customer Service Legend Award, the highest honor bestowed upon an Alaska employee.

"The Customer Service Legend Award is a long-standing tradition at Alaska Airlines," said Bill Ayer, Alaska’s chairman and chief executive officer. "Recipients personify everything that has made Alaska Airlines great for nearly 75 years-a unique blend of spirit, resourcefulness, integrity, professionalism and caring."

The 2006 awards were presented to Carolynn Hoey, Seattle-based reservations sales agent; Bill Morgan, Seattle-based captain and pilot instructor evaluator; Jay Perry, Cordova, Alaska-based ramp service agent; Agota Fisher, Los Angeles-based flight attendant; Mary Shaffer, Seattle-based administrative assistant; Camille DeMoss, Anchorage, Alaska-based customer service agent; Millison Fambles, Seattle-based first officer; Luci Abbrederis, Seattle-based flight attendant; Tada Yotsuuye, Seattle-based inspector; Betsy Barajas, Phoenix-based reservations supervisor; and Seattle-based inspectors Phil, Duane and Roger Bailey.

The 2006 recipients are among 134 Alaska employees to be named Customer Service Legends since the awards were introduced in 1991. The airline has nearly 10,000 employees.
