Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air today kicked off a fall sweepstakes celebrating Alaska Airlines’ 75th anniversary. The "75 and Sunny Sweepstakes," presented in partnership with Visa, offers prizes including travel, frequent-flier miles and a new car.

Customers can enter by registering their Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan membership number at alaskaair.com during the 75-day sweepstakes, which runs through Nov. 17, 2007. The grand prize is a 2008 Pontiac Solstice convertible.

The airline also will award 75 Alaska Airlines Vacations packages for two and 75,000 miles a day for 75 days.

"What better way to conclude our 75th-anniversary celebration than to give customers the chance to win such a wide range of prizes," said Steve Jarvis, Alaska’s vice president of marketing, sales and customer experience.

Each entrant will receive a $5 discount code, which can be applied to Alaska or Horizon tickets purchased during the sweepstakes, and discounts on Alaska Airlines Vacations packages.

In addition, customers who purchase Alaska or Horizon tickets for travel through Nov. 17 will earn five sweepstakes entries when they pay with any Visa card or 10 entries when they pay with an Alaska Airlines Visa card.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Customers who don’t have an Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan membership, which is required to enter, can register and earn 500 miles. Official rules, including prize descriptions, odds disclosure and other methods of entry, are available at alaskaair.com/75andSunny.
