Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air have launched a fall fare sale, including one-way fares starting at $44 between popular West Coast destinations and starting at $69 for flights between Los Angeles and Mexico destinations.

One-way sale fares start as low as $44 between Los Angeles and San Francisco; $49 between Seattle and Boise, Idaho; $79 between Portland, Ore., and Las Vegas; and $189 between Anchorage, Alaska, and Seattle or Portland. One-way fares between Los Angeles and Mexico destinations start as low as $69 to Los Cabos, $79 to Mazatlan; $89 to La Paz, Loreto or Puerto Vallarta; and $99 to Guadalajara, Manzanillo or Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo.

Sale fares are available at alaskaair.com and horizonair.com or by calling (800) ALASKAAIR. Customers must purchase tickets by Aug. 16, 2007, and travel by Dec. 18, 2007, for Mexico flights and between Sept. 5 and Dec. 18, 2007, for other flights.

Alaska Airlines also is holding a sale on Mileage Plan award travel to Mexico, offering round-trip Coach Saver awards for 20,000 miles instead of the normal 30,000-mile requirement. The offer is valid for travel between Sept. 3 and Oct. 31, 2007, booked at alaskaair.com.

The following information applies to the fare sale. Tickets are not refundable and cannot be transferred. Tickets can be changed for a $50 per-person change fee plus any applicable changes in fare and taxes. Standby for earlier or later flights on the same day as originally scheduled is allowed with no additional charge. Open tickets and waitlisting are not permitted. All fares are quoted in U.S. dollars. Seats are limited for these special fares and may not be available on all flights or on all days. Tickets must be purchased by Aug. 16, 2007. Travel to Mexico is valid between July 24 and Dec. 18, 2007. All other travel is valid between Sept. 5 and Dec. 18, 2007. Reservations must be made at least 14 days prior to outbound departure date for travel within the United States and Canada. There is no advance purchase requirement for flights to and from Mexico. For flights within the United States and Canada, tickets must be purchased within 24 hours of making your reservation and at least 14 days prior to your departure. For travel to or from Mexico, tickets must be purchased within 24 hours of making your reservation. The following blackout dates apply for travel within the United States and Canada: Nov. 16, 17, 21 and 24-26; and Dec. 14 and 15, 2007. Fares are subject to change without notice. The following information applies to the Mexico award sale. The sale is valid only for travel on Alaska Airlines. Award reservations must be booked online at alaskaair.com between the cities specified in order to qualify for mileage discount. Travel must be completed by Oct. 31, 2007. Stopovers at connection cities are not allowed at the discounted rate. Saver award space is limited and may not be available during peak travel periods.
