Alaska Airlines and the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA) today jointly announced ratification of a new four-year contract covering the airline’s 2,540 flight attendants.

"Flight attendants are ready to move forward and work with the company to maintain and build upon the success of our airline," said Veda Shook, AFA Master Executive Council President. "We are pleased that this new contract provides a more generous profit-sharing program that rewards front-line employees for their contributions to the bottom line."

"We appreciate the AFA’s leadership in reaching this multiyear agreement that offers stability for our flight attendants and is consistent with our desire to provide competitive pay and benefits as well as long-term career opportunities for our people," said Bill Ayer, Alaska’s chairman and chief executive officer. "Customers love our flight attendants, and they continue to set the industry standard for professional and engaging passenger service."

For over 60 years, the Association of Flight Attendants has been serving as the voice for flight attendants in the workplace, in the industry, in the media and on Capitol Hill. More than 46,000 flight attendants at 20 airlines come together to form AFA-CWA, the world’s largest flight attendant union. AFA is part of the 700,000-member strong Communications Workers of America (CWA), AFL-CIO. Visit us at www.afanet.org.
