WHEN: Friday, Oct. 27, 7 a.m. Pacific time WHAT: Alaska Airlines will inaugurate nonstop service from Seattle to Cancun, Mexico, as part of the airline's Mexico expansion plan. The first flight, Flight 296, will be celebrated with Mexican-themed festivities before it departs Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Friday morning. The route is the first of five new routes serving Mexico the airline will introduce during the coming week as it increases Mexico capacity by 22 percent.
