Alaska Airlines’ popular Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) fares are now on sale offering low fares and even more flexibility than last year’s offer. And, in step with Alaska’s new Common Sense pricing, the PFD fares don’t require a Friday or Saturday night stay.

The fares represent savings of up to 35 percent off the lowest everyday excursion fare for in-state travel to and from Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau and even more savings on select routes to and from the Lower 48, Canada and Mexico. The fares are also available for travel from outside Alaska to most destinations within Alaska.

Alaska Airlines’ PFD Fares are available for immediate purchase and don’t require a PFD batch card or check stub. Tickets must be purchased by November 4, 2004 and travel completed by September 6, 2005.

The fares are designed to be booked in advance. However realizing that customers oftentimes need to change plans, the airline allows one itinerary change with no change fee. Additionally, the fares boast no blackouts, no charge for peak-day or seasonal travel, no red-eye requirements, no fuel surcharges and no maximum stay.

Travelers can save an additional $10 roundtrip when tickets are purchased online using a MyAlaskaAir account at www.alaskaair.com for travel complete by December 15, 2004. Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members will also rack up an additional 1,000 bonus miles for their purchase on alaskaair.com.
