Alaska Airlines will inaugurate daily service between Seattle and St. Louis starting Sept. 27, 2010. To introduce the new route, the airline is offering $109 one-way fares on tickets purchased by July 1 for travel through Nov. 17, 2010, on select flights between Seattle and St. Louis.

"We’re pleased to bring our award-winning customer service to the ‘Gateway to the West,’" said Joe Sprague, Alaska’s vice president of marketing. "With new nonstop service to St. Louis, Alaska and our sister carrier, Horizon Air, together will serve 30 of the top 35 most-visited destinations from Seattle."

"We think this is a great fit because Seattle is the second-biggest West Coast destination for St. Louis passengers."

Travelers can earn double Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles on the new flights between Sept. 27 and Nov. 17, 2010. To qualify, customers must register at alaskaair.com.

The new Alaska flights will be operated with Boeing 737 aircraft. Inflight service will include Alaska Airlines’ digEplayer, a personal entertainment system offering a variety of movies, television shows, music and other features.

Terms and conditions for introductory one-way fares: Tickets must be purchased 14 days in advance and by July 1, 2010, for travel between Sept. 27 and Nov. 17, 2010. Prices listed are good for travel on Tuesday and Wednesday only.

Terms and conditions for Double Miles: Registration is required in order to receive Double Miles. Double Miles is valid only on qualifying paid flights flown between Sept. 27 and Nov. 17, 2010. Double Miles is only valid on nonstop flights between Seattle and St. Louis. Flight miles must be credited to the passenger’s Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan account to earn Double Miles.

General terms and conditions: Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or all days. A ticket purchased at an Alaska Airlines airport location or through a reservation call center will cost $15 more per person than the advertised fare. Travelers are responsible for the following taxes and fees, as applicable: Airport Passenger Facility Charges of up to $9 (amount depends on itinerary), Federal Segment Tax of $3.70 per segment (takeoff and landing), U.S. Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement.
