SEATTLE, Jan. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Alaska Airlines announced that members of its Mileage Plan frequent flier program can earn Double Miles on the carrier’s nonstop flights between Anchorage, Alaska, and Los Angeles (LAX), starting May 23, and between Anchorage and Denver, starting June 5.

Flights can be booked and travel must be completed between now and Sept. 6, 2011.

"Summer is the perfect time to visit the great state of Alaska and with this offer our customers in Los Angeles and Denver can ‘double down’ to earn twice the miles for their flights," said Rick Rasmussen, Alaska Airlines’ director of customer loyalty and marketing programs. Rules: Registration is required prior to the member’s first qualifying flight in order to receive Double Miles. Flight miles must be credited to the member’s Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan account in order to earn Double Miles. All travel must be completed by Sept. 6, 2011. Not valid on free or award travel. Double Miles do not count toward MVP or MVP Gold status. Members should allow four to six weeks for travel and Bonus Miles to be credited. All terms and conditions of the Mileage Plan program apply.
