Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air Offer Special Low Fares for Fall Travel

Fall is just around the corner, and Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air are making it easier to say goodbye to summer with new low fares to dozens of destinations in the continental United States, Alaska, Canada and Mexico.

Fares start as low as $39 one way between Seattle and Spokane and $69 one way between Seattle and Oakland or San Jose. Fares for one-way flights from Seattle to Los Cabos or Puerto Vallarta start at $129, and one-way fares between Seattle and Anchorage start at $149.

The fall fares also include an introductory fare of $89 one way between Seattle and Dallas/Fort Worth. Alaska Airlines will inaugurate Seattle- Dallas/Fort Worth service Sept. 12, 2005. Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members can earn double miles on this new route through Nov. 10, 2005, by registering at alaskaair.com prior to their flight.

Travelers must act soon to take advantage of the fall fares announced today. The fares are available for purchase through Aug. 25, 2005, and are valid for travel through Dec. 14, 2005. Fares are one-way and do not require a round-trip purchase. Sample fares are listed below. For more fares see alaskaair.com.

  -- A 14-day advance purchase is required. Fares are nonrefundable but can
     be changed, if seats are available, for a $50 change fee and the
     difference in the applicable fare. Fares are available only on select
     days of the week. Seats are limited and may not be available on all
     flights. Fares are not available for travel Nov. 22-23 and Nov. 27-28.
  -- Travel is valid between Aug. 25 and Dec. 14, 2005, with the following
     exceptions:

     - Travel to/from Dallas/Fort Worth is valid between Sept. 12 and Dec.
       14, 2005.
     - Travel to/from Miami is valid between Oct. 29 and Dec. 14, 2005.
     - Travel to/from Manzanillo is valid between Aug. 31 and Sept. 9, 2005,
       and Oct. 30 and Dec. 14, 2005.

  -- Sale fares do not include the following government imposed taxes and
     fees charged on a per person basis: Airport passenger facility charges
     of up to $9, depending on itinerary; federal segment tax of $3.20 per
     segment for take off and landing; and U.S. security fee of $2.50 per
     enplanement or a maximum of $5.
  -- Additionally to Canada: U.S. user immigration fee of $7 from Canada.
     Canadian airport improvement fee of up to $15 (varies by airport),
     Canadian security fee of $9 (fluctuates with exchange rate), and
     Canadian goods and services tax (GST) of up to $2. For itineraries
     originating in Canada, fares can fluctuate with bank exchange rates at
     time of purchase.
  -- Additionally to Mexico: U.S. immigration user fee of $7, U.S. APHIS fee
     of $4.95, U.S. international departure tax of  $14.10, Mexico
     international departure tax of up to $28, and Mexico tourism tax of up
     to $20 (fluctuates with exchange rate).
  -- Fares and taxes are in USD and are subject to change without notice.
     Taxes and fees are based on one-way travel and may be double if
