Sister carriers Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air are celebrating Horizon’s 25th anniversary this fall with an airfare sale on some of the airlines’ most popular routes. Sale information, including vacation package discounts and bonus-mile offers from Mileage Plan partners, is available on the carriers’ Web sites, alaskaair.com and horizonair.com.

Passengers can take advantage of fall fare specials on a wide range of routes. Fares start as low as $49 one way between Seattle and Boise, Idaho; $59 between San Francisco and San Diego; $109 between Portland, Ore., and Palm Springs, Calif.; and $189 between Anchorage, Alaska, and Seattle or Portland. Passengers must purchase their tickets by Sept. 7, 2006, and travel by Dec. 14, 2006.

The airlines also are offering special discounts for complete Alaska Airlines Vacations packages to popular destinations like the Disneyland ® Resort, San Diego and Mexican resort destinations, including Cancun and Puerto Vallarta. Customers who book by Sept. 30, 2006, and travel by Nov. 15, 2006, can receive a $25 discount for each paying adult, with up to $100 in savings per reservation.

In addition, members of the airlines’ Mileage Plan can take advantage of limited-time offers from airline partners, including hotels, rental-car companies and florists.

Horizon Air will officially celebrate its 25th anniversary on Sept. 1, 2006. The airline has grown to become the Pacific Northwest’s largest regional airline, serving 46 destinations and more than 6 million passengers annually.

Seats are limited and subject to availability. Tickets must be purchased by Sept. 7, 2006. Travel must be completed by Dec. 14, 2006. All fares are shown each way in U.S. dollars. Reservations must be made at least seven days prior to outbound departure date. Tickets must be purchased within 24 hours of making a reservation and at least seven days prior to departure. The following blackout dates apply: Nov. 17, 18, 22, 25, 26 and 27, 2006. These fares may be purchased at alaskaair.com or horizonair.com provided the itinerary is no more than eight segments long (a ground segment constitutes one leg of your itinerary). These fares are non-refundable. Some flights may be operated by or in conjunction with Alaska Airlines, Horizon Air, Big Sky Airlines, American Airlines/American Eagle®, Northwest Airlines, Continental Airlines or Delta Air Lines.
