(NYSE: ALK) today reported March and year-to-date operational results on a consolidated basis for its mainline operations flown by subsidiaries Alaska Airlines Inc. (Alaska)... SEATTLE, April 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Alaska Air Group Inc. (NYSE: ALK) today reported March and year-to-date operational results on a consolidated basis for its mainline operations flown by subsidiaries Alaska Airlines Inc. (Alaska) and Virgin America Inc. (Virgin America), and for its regional flying operated by subsidiary Horizon Air Industries Inc. (Horizon) and third-party regional carriers SkyWest Airlines and Peninsula Airlines. On Jan. 11, 2018, Alaska and Virgin America consolidated their operations onto a Single Operating Certificate (SOC). Results for Alaska and Virgin America have been combined into a single mainline operation. AIR GROUP On a combined basis for all operations, Air Group reported a 6.5 percent increase in traffic on a 7.2 percent increase in capacity compared to March 2017. Load factor decreased 0.5 points to 84.9 percent. Load factor decreased 0.5 points to 85.4 percent. Mainline also reported 81.9 percent of its flights arrived on time in March 2018, compared to 75.9 percent reported in March 2017. Mainline operational results reflect both Alaska and Virgin America combined.
