Alaska Air Group Executives to Hold Media Q&A Prior to 2004 Annual Meeting

   SUMMARY:  Top executives from Alaska Air Group, Alaska Airlines and
             Horizon Air will hold their annual informal question and answer
             session with the media immediately prior to the 2004
             shareholders meeting.

   WHO:      Bill Ayer, chairman and CEO of Alaska Air Group and Alaska
             Airlines, and Jeff Pinneo, president and CEO of Horizon Air.

   WHERE:    The media question and answer session will be held in the Board
             Room of the Museum of Flight, Second Floor, 9404 East Marginal
             Way South, Seattle.

   WHEN:     The session will be held from 1:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.  The
             company's annual meeting will begin in the museum auditorium
             immediately afterwards.
