HONOLULU – Alaska Airlines today announced the promotion of Alisa Onishi to managing director of Hawai‘i marketing. Based in Honolulu, Onishi will lead brand marketing and guest experience enhancements for Hawaiian Airlines, while also advancing Hawaiian and Alaska Airlines' multi-brand strategy – the first such model in the U.S. industry. In addition to driving brand integration, loyalty and sponsorships, she will also support employee culture and cross-brand programs including the development of new uniforms.
“Alisa’s experience and leadership stewarding the Hawaiian Airlines brand, and passion for bringing together our rich company cultures while maintaining their distinct identities make her the ideal person to take on this pioneering and exciting work,” said Eric Edge, vice president of brand and marketing for Alaska and Hawaiian airlines.
Onishi, who joined Hawaiian Airlines in 2011 and most recently served as senior director of brand, culture and community relations, will remain a key member of the Honolulu leadership team. She previously held marketing management roles at Hawaiian Telcom and Mobi PCS. A resident of Kaneohe in east O‘ahu, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in visual communications from Hawaii Pacific University.
