Alaska named one of the safest airlines in the world

If there’s one thing we put above all else it’s safety. We’ve just been named among the top-20 safest airlines in the world for 2019 by AirlineRatings.com. For us, this recognition means a lot because it speaks to our commitment to keep you safe, every time you fly with us.
“Safety is our top priority and is firmly ingrained in our culture as we are personally committed to the safety of our guests and one another,” said Max Tidwell, Alaska Airlines vice president of safety and security.
AirlineRatings.com, an Australian website, reviews aviation safety and in-flight products. Top airlines were selected from a pool of 405 carriers based on a seven-star rating system.
“These airlines are standouts in the industry and are at the forefront of safety, innovation, and the design and launching of new aircraft,” said Geoffrey Thomas, AirlineRatings.com’s editor-in-chief in an article on their website.
AirlineRatings.com takes into account the most important factors for safety: audits from aviation’s governing bodies and lead associations, government audits, fleet age and an airline’s crash and serious incident records.

I’ve just read about how the government shut down is affecting TSA, air traffic controllers and FAA safety inspectors. How is Alaska Airlines maintaining safety standards during the government shut down. Should I be concerned about my upcoming flights?
Most employees at the Federal Aviation Administration, Customs and Border Protection and the Transportation Security Administration are deemed exempt, which means they continue to serve in key safety roles. Since the shutdown began, we haven’t seen any impacts to our safety programs. We continue to put safety at the forefront of everything we do and pledge to adhere to our strict safety protocols at all times. At the same time, we’re working through our respective trade associations to urge the government to resolve this shutdown and the impacts on the aviation industry.
Alaska is the best by far…I was loyal to other airline but I was on a Flight from anchorage and filed out the flyer to get my Alaska airline card!! It’s been Alaska all the way since… I am actually flying Alaska now, LA to Portland!!! Love it so keep doing what you do. I need special care because I fly with my 83 yrs. old
Mom, the attention and care are unbeatable; while one airline no names, just looked at us struggling!!!
Thanks
KBP
Congratulations, but I knew it since the first time I flew on one of your flights….
Plz return your non-stop between DTW and Portland, Or!
Used to be a loyal United flyer but Alaska Airlines has far surpassed them in all ways!
I want to give praise to Caleb, our flight attendant in First Class on flight 339 out of San Jose to Seattle on January 4.. We enjoyed his conversation, and interest in the customers in First Class. He is very professional, knowledgeable and fun!! We give him a “gold star”!!
Congratulations!
Thanks for everyone’s attention to your customer’s safety from planes to service!
A customer for decades.
Does Alaska have flights from Hnl to Cabo?
We don’t have direct HNL-Cabo service, but we offer several connections.
