Alaska Airlines today announced ratification of two new four-year contracts covering more than 3,700 airline employees represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM).
One ratified contract covers Alaska’s clerical, office and passenger service (COPS) employees, including more than 3,100 customer service and reservations sales agents. The second ratified contract covers the airline’s ramp service and stores agents (RSSA), including more than 600 aircraft ground-handling employees.
"These agreements are the result of hard work by both parties in a highly challenging environment," said Bill Ayer, Alaska’s chairman and chief executive officer. "I appreciate the consistent focus of our agents on delivering superior customer service throughout the negotiation process. We can now move forward with collaborative contracts that support Alaska’s ongoing transformation and ability to provide good jobs and secure futures for our employees."
