Alaska Airlines Offers Limited-Time Mexico Fare Sale

Alaska Airlines today announced a fare sale for travel between the U.S. West Coast and 10 cities in Mexico. One-way "Fiesta Fares" start as low as $75 in celebration of the airline's 75th anniversary.

"These are some of the lowest fares to Mexico we’ve seen in five years, and we’re delighted to share them during the start of our 75th anniversary," said Gregg Saretsky, Alaska’s executive vice president of marketing and planning. Saretsky noted the airline offers more flights between the U.S. West Coast and Mexico than any other domestic carrier.

Reservations and tickets are available now at alaskaair.com or by calling (800) ALASKAAIR. Customers must book and purchase their tickets by Feb. 12, 2007, and travel by May 23, 2007.

Alaska Airlines Vacations also is offering discounts on vacation packages, which include airfare and three nights’ hotel accommodations in some of Mexico’s most-popular beach destinations.

Alaska Airlines introduced service to Mexico in 1988 and now transports more than 1.2 million passengers annually between the U.S. West Coast and Mexico. During its winter schedule, the airline operates up to 44 flights daily to 10 Mexican destinations.

— The following blackout dates apply: March 23-31 and April 1-10, 2007. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Tickets must be purchased within 24 hours of making a reservation. Tickets can be changed for a $50 (USD) per-person change fee plus any applicable changes in fare and taxes. Standby for an earlier or later flight on the same day as originally scheduled is allowed with no additional charge. Open tickets and waitlisting are not permitted. All fares are quoted in U.S. dollars. Seats are limited for these special fares and may not be available on all flights or on all days. Fares are subject to change without notice. Travel is valid only on flights operated by Alaska Airlines or Horizon Air.

— Passengers are responsible for the following taxes and fees, as applicable: Airport Passenger Facility Charges of up to $9 (amount depends on itinerary), Federal Segment Tax of $3.40 per segment (take-off and landing) and U.S. Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement.
