Alaska Airlines today launched a fare sale for travel on most of its routes to celebrate the airline’s 75th anniversary.

Sale fares for one-way travel start as low as $75 between Anchorage and Fairbanks, $105 between Anchorage and Juneau, $155 between Fairbanks and Juneau, and $175 between Anchorage or Juneau and Seattle.

"We’re pleased to celebrate the airline’s 75th anniversary by offering these special fares for travel within and beyond our namesake state," said Bill MacKay, Alaska Airlines’ senior vice president for the state of Alaska.

Sale fares are available now at alaskaair.com or by calling (800) ALASKAAIR. Customers must purchase tickets by March 29, 2007, and travel by Nov. 15, 2007.

The Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan this month also introduced a new, lower award level for travel between any two points within the state of Alaska. Intra-Alaska Saver Award tickets are available for 7,500 miles one way and 15,000 miles round trip, 75 percent of the mileage previously required. Details and rules are available at alaskaair.com.

The following information applies to the fare sale. Tickets must be purchased by March 29, 2007. Travel must be completed by Nov. 15, 2007. Tickets must be purchased 14 days prior to departure. All taxes and fees shown are based on one-way travel and may be doubled if traveling roundtrip. Tickets are nonrefundable, but can be changed for a $50 change fee and any applicable changes in fare. A ticket purchased at a Horizon Air or Alaska Airlines airport location or through the airlines’ reservation call centers will cost $10 more per person than the advertised fare. Some flights may be operated by or in conjunction with Horizon Air, Continental, Big Sky Airlines, American Airlines/American EagleĀ®, Northwest Airlines or Delta Airlines.
