Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air today launched a fare sale for travel on nearly all the carriers’ routes. The sale celebrates Alaska Airlines’ 75th anniversary.

Sale fares start as low as $45 for one-way travel between Portland, Ore., and Boise, Idaho; $65 between Los Angeles and Santa Rosa, Calif.; $75 between Los Angeles and Los Cabos, Mexico; $105 between Vancouver, British Columbia, and Spokane, Wash.; and $175 between Anchorage, Alaska, and Seattle.

"These are some of the lowest fares we’ve seen in a number of years," said Gregg Saretsky, Alaska Airlines’ executive vice president of marketing and planning. "The sale is our way of thanking our customers for traveling with us for 75 great years."

Founded in 1932, Alaska Airlines has grown to become the United States’ ninth-largest carrier and among the world’s oldest commercial airlines. Alaska and Horizon operate about 1,000 daily flights to 89 destinations in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
