WHEN: Sunday, Oct. 2, beginning at 11 a.m. Alaskan time
WHAT: Alaska Airlines will hold an Alaska homecoming event
for the carrier's new "Salmon-Thirty-Salmon"
aircraft at the airline's hangar at Ted Stevens
Anchorage International Airport. Hundreds of Alaska
Airlines employees, guests and dignitaries are
expected to attend. The aircraft is the most
intricately painted commercial aircraft known and
celebrates the partnership of the carrier and the
Alaska seafood industry.

Airport, 4100 West Old International Airport Road,
Anchorage, Alaska, 99502
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES: Media are invited to photograph the entirety of this
event including:
-- 11 a.m. -- Hundreds of Alaska Airlines
employees, guests and dignitaries gather in
hangar and enjoy fish-themed activities
-- Noon -- Formal presentation on stage located
inside hangar
-- 12:15 p.m. -- Welcoming dance performed by
Alaska Native dancers
-- 12:20 p.m. -- Aircraft arrives at hangar
-- 12:30 p.m. -- Salmon homecoming activities,
including seafood barbecue feast

ACCESS: As this is a private event, members of the news
media must show credentials at the gate to receive a
badge and will be escorted by Alaska Airlines
representatives.
DIRECTIONS: Take International Airport Rd. toward Ted Stevens
Anchorage International Airport. Take the
International Airport West ramp and merge onto W.
International Airport Road. Turn left on Jewel Lake
Rd. and take an immediate right onto Old
International Airport Rd. Proceed just more than
one-half mile. Park in the cargo parking lot and
display media identification in dashboard of
vehicle. Enter through doors to Alaska Airlines
Maintenance Hangar and check in at media table
directly inside the hangar entrance doors.
