Andy Schneider serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Horizon Air, where she is responsible for engaging the people of Horizon and working with them to deliver exceptional regional air service on behalf of Alaska Airlines.

With a steadfast focus on safety, continual improvement, and execution, Andy is dedicated to collaborating with Horizon’s employees to achieve results that further strengthen the company’s long-standing reputation for safety, operational performance, and outstanding guest experiences. Horizon plays a vital role in connecting communities across the West, and under Andy’s leadership, the airline continues to deliver safe, reliable, and heartfelt regional service.

Previously, Andy served as Senior Vice President of People for Alaska Airlines, where she focused on providing a remarkable employee experience for more than 30,000 employees across Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and Horizon Air. In that role, her team executed a comprehensive people strategy — securing top talent, offering competitive benefits employees can take pride in, supporting leaders through human resource operations, and fostering a culture where everyone feels valued and empowered to be themselves.

Andy has also served as Vice President of Inflight and Call Center Services, leading teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience both in the air and over the phone. Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President of People and Customer Services for Horizon Air, where she oversaw station operations, services training, customer relations, inflight services, facilities and network services, food and beverage operations, human resources, and labor relations. Earlier in her career, she held additional roles at Alaska Airlines in station operations and cargo services.

Andy began her career with Alaska Airlines in 1989 as Manager of Financial Accounting. A native of Boise and a graduate of Gonzaga University, she holds a degree in Accounting and an Executive MBA from the University of Washington. She currently resides in Tacoma with her husband, Mike, and their two children, Jaxson and Payton.
