Airline showcases retro fashions on flights, in airports through June 30

WHAT: Pillbox hats, Russian Cossack dresses and hot pants are
returning to the nation's airways thanks to a fashion flashback
staged by Alaska Airlines flight attendants during the
airline's 75th anniversary. The fashion showcase comes to LAX
on June 26, when flight attendants wearing some of the
airline's most unusual uniforms will greet passengers during
the busy morning check-in period. Flight attendants will also
wear retro uniforms on select flights through June 30.

-- Arctic parka worn over ski pants during the 1950s and 1960s

-- Russian Cossack red tunic and fur hat worn during airline's 1960s Cold
War-era flights to Soviet Union
