PACIFIC TIME SATURDAY, OCT. 1*** WHEN: Sunday, Oct. 2, beginning at 11 a.m. Alaskan time WHAT: Alaska Airlines will hold an Alaska homecoming event for the carrier's new "Salmon-Thirty-Salmon" aircraft at the airline's hangar at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Hundreds of Alaska Airlines employees, guests and dignitaries are expected to attend. The aircraft is the most intricately painted commercial aircraft known and celebrates the partnership of the carrier and the Alaska seafood industry. DIRECTIONS: Take International Airport Rd. toward Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Take the International Airport West ramp and merge onto W. International Airport Road. Turn left on Jewel Lake Rd. and take an immediate right onto Old International Airport Rd. Proceed just more than one-half mile. Park in the cargo parking lot and display media identification in dashboard of vehicle.
