UPDATE 1/22/19: We’re postponing our scheduled start of service from Paine Field until March 4, 2019. Our latest post has all the details.
ORIGINAL POST 11/15/18: If you live north of Seattle and throughout Snohomish County, we’re ready to make your day with some news you’ve probably been waiting to hear: We’re now selling tickets for 18 daily nonstop flights between Paine Field in Everett, Washington, and eight West Coast cities.
Say hello to Alaska flights at a more convenient, brand new airport terminal, and goodbye to a potentially much farther drive south to Sea-Tac Airport.
The first day of scheduled service is Feb. 11, 2019, subject to government approval. The all-jet service from Paine Field will be provided by Horizon Air flying the Embraer 175 aircraft featuring first class and premium class cabins.
We’re also excited to offer more options to our guests. We recently acquired five additional gate times at Paine Field, which would allow us to offer up to 18 daily nonstop departures in early 2019 upon receipt of required government approvals. This would mean more frequencies to several of the previously announced destinations: Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Orange County, California; Phoenix; Portland, Oregon; San Diego; San Francisco; and San Jose, California.
“We’re tremendously honored to be a part of this historic moment with the opening of a brand new commercial airport,” said Andrew Harrison, Alaska Airlines’ chief commercial officer. “Providing all new service from Paine Field and further expanding where we fly our guests, including from our Global Partners’ major international hubs, highlights the strong growth in our region and a thriving West Coast.”
To celebrate the start of ticket sales, we’re offering a two-day sale on fares to and from Paine Field, starting at low as $39 one-way*. And for all nonstop flights flown to and from Paine Field through March 31, 2019, Mileage Plan members will earn double miles after they register for a special promotion**.
After the initial start of service on Feb. 11, the planned daily flight frequencies will increase over the course of several weeks to ensure new operations are running smoothly. Here’s how that looks on our flight schedule:

Is Los Angeles LAX? Burbank? Thank you!
Between Everett – Paine Field (PAE) and:
Las Vegas (LAS)Los Angeles (LAX)Orange County (SNA)Phoenix (PHX)Portland (PDX)San Diego (SAN)San Francisco (SFO)San Jose (SJC)
I’m so excited I can’t stand it. I live 5 min from PAE and this will help with west coast travel. Looking forward to start flying in and out of PAE.
You can fly to San Diego and Phoenix, but you can’t manage a flight to Spokane and Missoula??
please add Anchorage
I second this…
“Alaska Airlines” but no flight(s) to “Alaska” ????
Let’s get a 737 in there please for Anchorage!!
Thanks!
Great idea , Will there be a bus from Northgate to get to Piane field. If so I am there for a flight to San Fran
When will service to Phoenix start, and what is the code for Everett (like SEA= SeaTac)?
The Flight Schedule above should help. Daily flights to PHX start Feb. 18. Everett is Paine Field = PAE.
Thanks for ruining the sounds and our traffic for us here in Mukilteo and Everett.
Please open up some type of service in and out of Olympia.
Finally – we Islanders don’t have to go nuts trying to get from Whidbey to SeaTac to catch a flight to CA * AZ. The old mayor of Muk finally lost his war against us Island and Snohomish county folks who didn’t enjoy fighting our way through the I-5 or I-405 war zones to make a flight. Way ta go, Alaska!
Finally, 50 years late because of Snohomish Co planning. They should have limited residential housing way back then.
Thanks for the update. Will this service Medford Oregon in the future?
Yay! Now please please consider Olympia!
Please add Redmond, OR 🙂
Very excited about this. I need flights in April. Everett to Portland then SLC.
How about Paine Field to Sacramento?
Spokane?
Super exciting!!!! My husband and I were discussing ways to take our kids to Disney next year. Now, we can fly to Vegas or California without having to drive! This is awesome!!!!
I just looked to book Everett to San Francisco in February and it is cheaper to fly out of Seattle! ($104 each way)
Are the prices going to even out? It is all good to have flights from Everett, but if it costs $40+ more each way, I’ll still go to Seattle.
Please add SMF as soon as possible!
Thanks for adding the new flights for travelers north of Seattle. Keep the rates reasonable and you will have full flights! Also thank you for providing nice schedules to and from San Francisco instead of 6 am
How about adding Boise ID?
We hope you add non-stop service to Palm Springs !
Yippee!! OAKLAND? PLEASE!!
Is service to Sacramento planned.
Please consider Spokane to Everett
Yeah!!! so happy. Add Burbank and I would be ecstatic. But this is so so good. thank you AK..
Where’s Phoenix on the list? ????
It’s in the Flight Schedule above. Daily service starts Feb. 18.
A flight from Everett to Santa Rosa would be awesome!
Great news! Looking forward to flights to Oklahoma City!
Denver or Salt Lake should definitely be on this list!
Would love to see service to RDM (Redmond, OR)–thrilled to have flights out of Everett!
Need early flights to LAX for connecting to Mexico
Great news! Would love to see Palm Springs added to the list!
I can’t wait until you have future scheduled approved for Paine Field. I am looking forward to a short drive with way less traffic to get to my new airport. YEAH!!!
That’s great news but I’m disappointed not to have Boise included on the list of cities. We’re more “coastal” than Las Vegas and half the city seems to be from Seattle. We are also waiting for direct flights from Boise to Orange County again because the other half of our quickly growing population is from California! Do you watch these population increase trends to see the needs of travelers?
Spokane would be a welcome addition to Paine Field
Well some Vegas flights offered are attractive both pricewise and timewise, none offer any long stay return flight options (eg. 7 – 10 days).
Not a practical offering in my view.
This is such a brilliant news for people in Snohomish and others!! Keep up the good work and expand more cities to fly out from Everett\\{°°}//
Im a little confused about Paine Field. The notice says non stops yet anything i look at to select has 2 or 3 stops? How can you say non-stop when it isn’t?
All flights from Everett to the eight destinations are nonstop flights. However, the routes are phased in over a month’s time. We’re at full schedule in mid-March, with 18 planned round trips daily. Refer to the Flight Schedule above.
Was checking flights from Everett to PHX in mid February. Looked like 3 flights each way? No direct flights?
Add MFR!
yeh thank you Alaska for considering residents in northwest wa.
So exciting. When will you expand service to Salt Lake City, Ut; Billings, Montana;, Boise, Idaho}
Will they cost more than flying out of SeaTac?
They did consider NW residents but screwed them and the Canadians by getting rid of almost all the Bellingham flights.
Phoenix????
The Phoenix connection exists getting there, but I don’t see a Phoenix to Paine Field date listed. But, this is great! Flights serving north King & Snohomish counties. Sea-Tac is such a hassle from the north.
Daily flight there start Feb. 18.
Yahoo!!!!!
My flight crew from SeaTac to Santa Ana this morning was awesome. Especially Caleb.
Wow, great service lately from your airline!
I thought Alaska was going to fly to Hawaii from Paine field. When will that start?
We’re flying the Embraer 175 jet for all flights at Paine Field. Hawaii is outside that aircraft’s range.
PLEASE add PSP (Palm Springs) when you add additional destinations from Paine Field (at least seasonally…..). Thank you!!!!
Yes…. Palm Springs would be glorious…especially for us “Seniors”!
Yes!! We can’t wait to golf until April! 🙂
YES! Palm Springs please!!! Thank you!!
yes, yes, yes please! psp would be awesome.
I found a couple of flights within the $59-69 advertised price but for the most part flights to Las Vegas and Pheonix were outrageously expensive – up to $1400 each way for coach. Bait and Switch. Not a great way to welcome passengers to your new airport.
$1,400?? There are no flights in March anywhere near that price!
This is exciting, but the initial schedule isn’t very useful. Please keep us up-to-date with schedule updates.
For example I want to fly from the bay area (San Jose preferred) to Everett on a Thursday or Friday afternoon then fly back Everett to SJC or SFO on Sunday night or early Monday morning. I do this between two and four times a month.
I am still waiting for Horizon / Alaska service from Palm Springs, CA to LAX!
